- What is SWANK, and what is its relation to SWOP-NYC?

- SWANK is Sex Workers Action New yorK, a community group for current and former sex workers and those with experience n the sex trade. SWOP-NYC and SWANK are “sister” organizations with some level overlapping membership.

- When are SWOP-NYC meetings held?
- SWOP-NYC Open Meetings (For current/former sex workers and our allies) are held the third Thursday of every month in lower Manhattan from 7-9pm. Please be punctual, respect the space, and the privacy of attendees. No one is required to out themselves as a current or former sex worker or otherwise. - Closed Meetings held by SWANK (for current/former sex workers) are held at a private location the first Thursday of every month in midtown Manhattan from 7-9pm. If you are interested, please introduce yourself by email to: swank@riseup.net and answer a few simple questions for screening purposes. Please give us 3-4 days to respond.
- How do I subscribe to the listserv?

- We have two listservs. One is an open list which is open to current/former sex workers and allies (to subscribe, send an email to the automated address swank@lists.riseup.net and respond to the confirmation e-mail sent in response).This list is available for announcements in digest format.
- Additionally, we have an internal organizers’ mailing list. Folks who wish to join this list must contact a real person at swank@riseup.net for consideration, and will be required one vouch (reference), attending one closed meeting, and/or be willing to meet with an organizer for coffee, etc. for a simple screening process.
